CEO/ Chief Producer: Jenna Ku
Active in the film industry since the late 1990s, Jenna Ku is a film producer who runs VOL Media, a production company she set up in 2016.
Ku debuted as a feature film producer with the romantic comedy PENNY PINCHERS (2011), which was financed by CJ ENM and starred Song Joong-ki.
In 2017 she brokered a Korean adaptation deal with powerhouse Japanese publishing firm Kodansha for what would become the hit film LITTLE FOREST (2018) with Kim Tae-ri.
She then partnered with Kim Jong-kwan, when she secured the adaptation rights to the Japanese film JOSEE, THE TIGER AND THE FISH from Asmik Ace. Working with Warner Bros, Ku produced Kim’s Korean adaptation JOSÉE (2020). She has also produced Kim’s THE TABLE (2017), SHADES OF THE HEART (2021) and THE RUNNING ACTRESS
(2017), the directorial debut of veteran actress Moon So-ri.
In addition to her credits as a producer, Ku has also served as a project manager for the Producers Guild of Korea (PGK) and lectures on film development at the Busan Asian Film School, an int’l school for up-and-rising Asian young producers/directors and at Bucheon Int’l Fantastic Film Festival which is specialized in genre films.
